Support Indie Book Shops

A great new website has just launched in the UK, that helps support independent bookshops. Bookshop.org enables booksellers to sell online, and also pays out commissions to shops when books are bought from their storefront.

Anyone can become an affiliate and list books on their own virtual shop. You also get a commission if somebody buys one of the titles you have recommended.

You can check out my Bookshop here and see some of the books that inspired me to write the Five Realms series, and other titles that I have really enjoyed reading.

This is so important, especially during the current Covid crisis, but also because huge online platforms (I think you can guess who I’m talking about) are terrible news for small bookshops and authors alike. They sell books at a massive discount, which more than halves author royalties (we only get around 40p per book sold anyway) and has forced many independent bookshops out of business.

So, please, if you are looking for reading material during the current lockdown, give Bookshop.org a try and support Independent Bookshops!
